Pros
Steady transcription work for about 4-1/2 to 5 years, give or take. Had mandatory OT for the first full year there, no exceptions. Felt things were okay even with changes in supervision often. Hired in at a decent wage.
Cons
Time-off policy lousy as time went on. Steady downhill course. Many of my coworkers gone over time. Hospital account was taken over by Epic about 1-1/2 years ago, and my remaining coworkers and I are let go as of today officially. Plus found out a new vendor would be involved with this hospital account (?) But I guess no surprise here. Less than a week's notice, no medical insurance as of today. Shoddy thing to do, I must say, during Thanksgiving holiday week, gotta hope my doc will at least write me a new hypertensive med prescription, gonna need it.
