Pros
The people are the nicest and most fun I have worked with. Whether it’s the junior, managers or even the kakak, they are really what made working here tolerable. The management are experts in their craft. If you can handle working at this pace, you will learn a lot. Kuhan (CEO) and the others really taught me and my team how to run campaigns not good, but great.
Cons
Your work doesn’t end after 6:30pm, it doesn’t end at all. I have had managers texting me at 12am when they are not happy with something. Some team members have gone home at 1am, clients are given unrealistic deadlines that the staff are forced to meet. No, you are not forced to stay in the office and work till late, but you have to if you want to meet your deadlines. As a member of the DM team, I worked closely with the creative team, who I really felt bad for when I had to give them tasks after 6:30pm, but they and everyone are used to those working hours. Sure, you may work OT at other companies, but it’s not the norm. This work rate is needed to maintain the level of clientele that DS has. As 90% of the clients are property developers, there is a very high standard to meet in your work. Which doesn’t pair well when you have to take care of 10 projects at a time and the deadlines are getting closer.
