The legal enquiry team are a separate entity to the rest of the company. You are treated like 2nd class employees, the management receiving all the benefits like free events/meals etc paid by company.
Management speak down to you, they don't develop your career, just get left to deal with some really tough calls with no support. These include clinical negligence and historic abuse enquiries that can be harrowing, expected to stay at your desk for hours without a break, micromanaged, have to cc managers in all emails to solicitors for example as they don't trust their staff.
