Pros

- Engineering team is absolutely fantastic; a real squad of badass programmers and QA who always find time to help each other, discuss best solutions and have a laugh at the same time. - Competent senior management who understand compromise and respect your expertise. Furthermore they work really hard. - Flexible and supportive to your personal goals and lifestyle aspirations. I cant stress enough that this is the biggest benefit of working here. If you want something to happen, have the conversation and they will do their best to accommodate you. - After a long period of instability and changes, the company is on a solid trajectory to success - Excellent modern platform. We worked really hard to upgrade old systems. Replatforming is mostly completed and legacy work is minimal.

Cons

- As an Engineer, you will have to get deep into the product and platform knowledge which is a lot. You can't really just sit in your lane but will have to keep on top of changes across the department (maybe this is a plus?). - Feature requirements will not arrive on your lap ready for working on. A developer will be expected to do a considerable amount of refinement and discovery themselves as part of the team. - Relatively immature agile expertise; Deko struggles to keep focus on the core product and often has bloated expectations for MVP, . - Theres no time for personal development and although crunch is the exception, it is part of the culture at the moment.

Pros

The people are the best part about the business, everyone is collaborative and hard-working. The office is a pleasant place to be.

Cons

The workload and constantly changing goals make it very difficult to know what direction the business is going in.
