Give internal candidates more opportunity to advance - Library Associate Dakota County Employee Review

If you're trying to advance or go from part-time to full-time, it doesn't seem to make a difference if you're an internal candidate who has worked very hard, has received excellent performance evaluations, and gone above and beyond the call of duty. Multiple times I've tried to get into full-time work and been overlooked, sometimes I don't even get as much as an interview, even for positions I'm very qualified for. Just warning people of that before they join this organization.
