Pros
The benefits that are offered are very competitive and reasonably priced. The medical and dental coverage is actually quite good. You have a choice of different plans that are available and can choose based on the price and coverage of each. New employees can start with two weeks of vacation (which is prorated based on your start date) and 4 days of personal (unpaid) time off. 401K is also available and the company will match your contribution 100%, for contributions up to 4%. They also offer short and long term disability, if it is needed, after 1 year of employment
Cons
This is not the company to work for if you are starting at the bottom and want to work your way up the ladder. Unless you are already in management, and sometimes even then, promotions are given based on personal relationships and friendships. Raises are no longer merit based as everyone gets the same annual increase (2%) regardless of how well, or poor, your annual review is. And there are so many policies, rules, and regulations at the lower levels that it actually interferes with getting your job done. There is no work-life balance either. It is often difficult to get vacation or unpaid time off approved.
