Pros
Pay is atleast above minimum wage Large break room Parking Location is nice Some hard working kind people who understand the struggles on the floor (outside of management) Paid lunches here and there Go straight to the parent company with complaints, they will listen if you do it that way. There is a system set up for you to do so.
Cons
-Management (MOST not all...) many higher ups are pretty cliquey and have obvious favorites, if you're 'lucky enough' to be a favorite you can get away with plenty.(I know many if not most companies are like this but some are more painfully obvious and careless than others) -Strict Attendance point system, oregon sick leave gives you about 64 hours but here at DAT if you use your sick time time you have to also have PTO hours... you get a full point if you call out and you get two points if your call out and dont have the PTO to cover it. At 4 points you get a written warning. Points can add up fast for example if your a couple minutes late from a break that's half a point. Leave early, half a point. Have a medical appointment and request time off a few weeks ahead but it was rejected and you still need to go, they will give you a point for calling out, who needs context right? Dont feel safe driving during snow days? Get approval before hand and have the proper set up to work from home and your good or call out and get a point. unless the head ups declare its probably unsafe within their own reasoning, if they dont make that call and even Fail to show up themselves you will still get a point if you call out yourself. Disposable. -Dealing with upset customers over phone, email and chat due to continuous product issues. Most of these issues are internal on our end, or due to poor planning on our end. we have had meetings where the CEO would say "hey, we did great and made this much money" silence and anger in the room as those who talk to customers on the daily dont feel the same... many customers are upset... And we hear it all the time... from updates with little to no warning, price increases, login changes, and having many site crashes... (usually due to the updates in some way) Any manager or supervisor will say "talk to me if you have any concerns" if the concern is about them or related to them and you have already expressed discomfort or uncertainty before go straight to your online portal that is designed for you to file a report to the parent company, things get done better that way.
