Pros

It was a pretty good program and system. The computer system was easy to learn and they work by scripts for the most part so it was easy to follow along. Money can be very good as they say. The people were nice who I worked with as well. Offices were nice and you get your own space (Room with a door) which I did very much enjoy.

Cons

The office I was at had a new manager and I felt as if the training once I got to the office was sub par. The training manager did a good job of explaining how everything works but it was sink or swim it seemed once you got there. Some people thrive in that environment, I was just not one of them. They pay was a little over inflated from what they stated at the interview but money is still good. Benefits are a joke so do not expect to get good health and 401K options. Work Life Balance: I had a friend who got into a very serious motorcycle accident on a Friday evening and I was at the hospital all night with his wife and 3 yr old daughter. I went and took care of their girl on Saturday morning (I was up 24 hours). I emailed my manager to let him know what was going on and I got a call saying that I should have come in anyway. This friend of mine died 2 days later to his injuries and thank God the funeral was on a Sunday or I might have had to skip it to work for fear of getting a guilt trip. THAT is when I knew what was most important to this company.

D&M Leasing Response

Thanks for your feedback on your experience with our company. We always read our reviews and rely on the information to help us improve. The D&M location in which you worked provides a terrific opportunity for anyone who is able to take advantage of our system and client support protocol. We are not like a car dealership and many agents find that initially there is a stiff learning curve, especially if they have worked in a traditional dealership setting in the past. Our sales system is tried and true, in fact the office in which you worked has the best closing statistics and highest customer satisfaction rating in the company! This issue with your absence and friends accident is regrettable. I have looked into it carefully and apologize if you felt burdened by our manager's actions. More accurately I feel it was a miscommunication as we were trying to cover the business leads you had taken in your absence, not get you to return to the office. In any case we try to provide a family-friendly work environment, closing at 6:00 in the evenings, working only every other Saturday, (flex schedule for Senior Agents), and taking holidays off. A productive corporate culture is forged by the success of its contributors. I hope you will find a career that fits your personal talents and needs. We wish you all the best! Pros

This company has a great culture from the top down. Management actually cares about their employees and their lives outside of work. D&M has a lot of tenured employees for a reason!

Cons

D&M is a truly unique company, and as such there can be a steep learning curve for some positions.

Pros

Great Work / Life balance! Ability to earn 6-figure income year after year! Promotes from within the organization! Management has a clear understanding as to what tools you need to be successful from 1 -3 years / 4 - 7 years / 7 to 10 years plus.

Cons

You have to forgive my bias thoughts on the word **Cons** as I just celebrated my 10th year work anniversary here at D&M Leasing - Fort Worth. I have read through all the posted reviews regarding: Micromanagement, Expensive Benefits, Intense Early Days, Commission Chargebacks & Turnover. If this list of stated **Cons** represents a 50-year-old world-class organization that cares about the success of each employee from day one. Then I am proud to represent that employer. For each Pro there is a Con. For each Con there is a Pro. We are all entitled to our own thoughts / opinions. But they should come from a place in which you have gone through it, worked through it, built something through it longer than a few months or a year or two. My only *Con* is that I should have relocated to Texas and found D&M 20 years ago and not 10 as this would have been my 20th work anniversary celebrated this month. wag3
