Pros
Most people are really understanding of life situations and you learn a ton since the company is small. With a small team, you typically work with the same people or team regularly (depending on the engagement) and you quickly learn everyone’s work style. Most people are also very understanding and flexible when it comes to working flexible hours (so you can go to appointments during the day). The company also provides several firm paid holidays (including the whole week of July 4th off).
Cons
There is a lack of work/life balance during the busy season. During the non-busy season, it’s much more flexible and you can take a ton of time off. However, there’s been so many budget cuts and they’ve become strict about expenses, even getting rid of busy season meals and parking.
