Pros
The salary and the location, which is right next to a forest.
Cons
I worked for a year at the corporate department and performed my tasks with the utmost care. The work load was pretty heavy but I didn’t mind and actually enjoyed the challenge. I was then placed on what HR calls a Performance Improvement Program (PIP). This was not only a blow, but also a very draining and stressful time. Nevertheless, I carried on with it and tried to stay focused on several goals, during which time I received encouragement and positive feedback from my boss. Then as soon as the PIP process ended, I was fired. The reasons given didn’t make sense to me; I was criticized for not being able to do things that weren’t even part of my job description. On the other hand, I successfully managed a lot (and I do mean A LOT) of mandates that weren’t in my field, or for which I had no qualifications, but barely received any recognition for that. I sincerely wish them luck in figuring out exactly what they need before hiring somebody else. This work experience has been the most stressful and least rewarding of my entire career.
