Pros
Camaraderie amongst fellow employees (that are non-management). Used to have good insurance and benefits. Transparent about company financial standing. Company provides pizza or burgers for everyone every 2 months. Though, you might be required to sit through a meeting during lunch to get the food.
Cons
High levels of micro management. Stressful work environment. Very high turnover rates (well above 50%). Lacks an HR department. Huge layoffs at fiscal year end due to poor performance. Existing employees are expected to pick up responsibilities of everyone who was let go, on top of continuing their own jobs. Somehow, management keeps giving themselves promotions while the company has been suffering. Lack of work/personal boundaries: late evening calls, being contacted and expected to work during your PTO/sick leave. No pay raises for over 1.5 years, but constant belittling of your performance.
