Cynicism, gas-lighting, micromanagement, and fear mongering The conversations are often bigoted and discriminatory and just petty, and negative finger-pointing at people in other departments. In the office, there is an environment of favoritism, backstabbing, and all over uncertainty of job security. Management does not know or seem to care who the valuable employees are. A large proportion of office workers are exhausted by the hypocrisy and disconnect between what we're told are the company values, and what we actually see and hear day-in and day-out.
