Pros

Unless you're hard up for a job, do everything possible to avoid working in sales at this company. - Consistent paycheck - Paid commissions on time and without question - Decent benefits - Coworkers were nice - Technology was solid, but only a good fit for the small payer space

Cons

- Get everything in writing. - You'll be lied to during the interviews about a few very important things. You'll only discover this after you start, likely within the first couple days - Question the quota if you get an offer. Ask to see quota attainment numbers over the last decade. This will help you dodge a bullet. The previous salespeople will be blamed for whatever you discover during the interview. I should have taken this as a red flag because the existing sales staff was heavily criticized during the interview. Problems like those that were described typically result in termination, not tenure. - The person you report to on your offer will not actually be the person you report to. - When I joined I was under the impression (because I was told) that I could work a couple days in office and the rest remote. This never came to pass, hence the get things in writing suggestion above. There's actually no legitimate reason why you need to even come into the office since everything you use is cloud based. When you do need to work remote for whatever reason, it's frowned upon. - The office is depressing. The people there are nice, but it's like you're working in a library. You'll likely not even know most of your coworkers names because there's almost no interaction with them. - The company culture I would accurately describe as non-existent.

Pros

most people are fairly nice but somewhat reserved. Very laid back and not a lot of pressure.

Cons

They don't seem to care about providing yearly reviews so you have no idea what they think of your work. I would have to assume they are simply taking advantage of you for as long as they can while keeping your salary at a minimum. Several individuals made it clear that only time they would get a review/raise is when they requested one. In some cases it was 3+ years! And then only 3% which did not include back pay!
