Pros

International team: The team is one of the biggest perks at Consultport. I found it to be extraordinarily good to have such an international team. I never had the chance to work with people from such a diverse background. Also, the team had a great drive and I always felt like everyone was very supportive and cheering. Fast learning: I am very happy with the skills I learned at Consultport. I gained the most experience in communicating, structuring my work and tasks as well as the prioritization of those. I enjoyed the challenges and challenging tasks given to me, while enjoying the freedom to figure it out by myself. Exposure to senior leaders: One the one hand I regularly speak with with C-level and VPs as clients. And internally at Consultport I work directly with the CEO and the VP of client growth. At a larger company, I would most likely not ever interact with these types of people let alone work with them. Real Impact: It has been rewarding to work on projects that have a direct impact on the success of the business. Often junior employees are given less important responsibilities but I am working on projects that have a direct monetary impact on the business. Great Office: The office is super close to Mauerpark which is great when the team goes out for drinks on Fridays. Additionally, the office is super open and modern which is great since it is a very onsite working environment.

Cons

Results Oriented: It is very results oriented, which can be intense if you’re not comfortable with performance metrics. Pressure: Ownership of your work is great however this always comes with responsibilities which at some point can also create some stress. Onsite working culture: I like coming into the office and working directly with my colleagues but it would be nice to have a few more remote working opportunities.

Pros

Thank you for the opportunity.

Cons

I spent over 4 hours completing a detailed profile (29+ years in finance, real cases with quantified impact). The application was declined with a generic statement that there was “not enough information” to evaluate my experience. Given the level of detail provided, the response felt non-specific and did not reflect the actual depth of expertise submitted. Professionals operating in highly specialized, capital-intensive niches should be aware that platforms focused on faster or more standardized project types may not always be aligned with senior-level, risk-focused expertise. Selected track record examples: • Contributed to the 2006 IPO withdrawal of Uralkali from the LSE due to undervaluation, followed by a successful listing in 2007 — one of the most notable Russian placements of that period. • AI Healthcare — prevented ~$3M cash-flow leakage over 18 months. • AI Tech — reduced burn by $1.5–2M annually; avoided 40–60% downside exposure. • FinTech — mitigated ~$1M in penalties and churn; prevented 50%+ revenue decline. Capital preservation is always the priority. Before you invest, I tell you where not to go.
