Pros

Some good employees that I made friends with and want in my life.

Cons

Lower pay compared to other competitors. Non-exempt Salary will require you to work odd hours in case the system goes down, which is frequent. Phones go down often, Conduents internal programs have issues and frequent outages. Upper management questions if you put in 40 hours, as if you should feel bad that you don't work more hours. Lack of knowledge/training to develop help desk tickets internally on Conduents Service Now ticketing system. Expect to have your tickets sit for 6+ months or have them closed with vague explanations. Expect to work do multiple jobs that do not go in line with your job title. When a coworker quits assume that you will be doing their job or get told to do their job with no extra compensation. Taking vacations is very vague, no more than a week long otherwise your 2 week vacation can or will be denied. Internal employees will steal your food from the break room fridges, they will not clean up after themselves and the janitorial crew does the bare minimum work which makes the environment very dirty. Bathrooms reek, carpets are stained. Desktop help desk is contracted out to a different company and they have a 28 day response time if its issue isn't stopping the user from working, if your computer works but is acting slow, you have between that day and 28 days to have your issue resolved. Days off are only Federal Holidays and not state holidays. Expect to work more often then a state government employee. High turn around at Conduent with employees, the company has been having issues financially and it shows in the quarterly audit meetings. Internal Conduent help desk via phone call is all outsourced in India/Philippians, they can speak English but with very heavy accents making it very difficult to understand. As well as if the issue is a severity 1 issue, expect to be on the phone for 12+ hours with multiple teams starting over from the beginning with each new team. Lack of communication between teams makes it frustrating to be on the phone while the issue is not being resolved in a timely manner. You will not move up in Conduent, the ability to grow within the company is a myth and will not happen. If you want to advance your career, you have to quit and go to a different job with better benefits and management. Conduent does not want to pay you more if it doesn't need to. Conduent stripped benefits from 2018 - 2019, no matching 401K, reduced healthcare and overall work life/home life are not considered. No longer giving out gift cards to outstanding employees that went above and beyond. Why work harder if you don't get recognized. Hell even the most lazy employees get better praises from their managers than you did doing their job just cause you don't want to deal with the train wreck later. Conduent doesn't have your back and doesn't care if you are overworked, the company is driven by upper management making deals with the contracts taking the bonus pay that was developed by you and your team. No trickle down effect and no thank you. If you need a job and need something on your resume then by all means apply to Conduent. But always look for another job that will consider you and your time more valuable. Lastly, no exit interviews. Its a generic 5 minute online survey that is very very vague and doesn't let you explain why you left. Conduent doesn't give care about you and doesn't care about what you have to say.

Pros

Job as described. This company is a contracting company pretty much and through them I was working for Humana. It was straight forward and as described, but the training Humana provided was a bit hectic and intense, and people were quitting left and right because of how much anxiety it caused.

Cons

High anxiety training environment that felt like we weren't fully equipped to do the job. Not having the freedom to get up and away from your desk unless you were specifically on a break. Automatic answering phones.
