Pros
Flexibility with hours was helpful, the patients and families were wonderful, the team I worked with was fantastic
Cons
Clinicians are held to the highest of ethical and moral standards when treating patients with developmental disabilities. You become a part of the patient's journey for the rest of their lives. Concept Connections has FAILED these patients, whom are already extremely vulnerable by having an Autism diagnosis. Within a matter of months, Concept Connections ripped apart treatment, support, and hope for these families. From the top, sickening and false accusations were made regarding practices by clinicians and therapists. One by one, the owners of the company eliminated supervisors and therapists who had served these families for years, citing workplace standards to be sub-par. What the CEO's fail to realize is that they themselves created an extremely toxic and unacceptable work environment by inciting fear tactics, all while continuing to exploit families for their money. Empty promises (still unfulfilled) were made regarding a "new era" of Concept Connections. Parents remain in the dark regarding the future of their children's therapies. It is one of the most heartbreaking things for a clinician to see.
