      Few opportunities for professional development As the company changed from Finisar, where a respectful work environment was highly valued, to II-VI, and now to Coherent, the management no longer cares about actually treating employees well, even though "Respect" is given lip service as a core value of the company.

      Exposure to major markets. Good experience. Many kind people.

      Cons

      Prepare to work 55 hours per week. Late night calls regular. Company only cares about its revenue this quarter. Management colleagues are mostly white men in their 50’s who play golf. Cliquey. Everyone has been there for 20 years.
