Pros

There are a lot of smart people that understand the healthcare industry. People are generally great to work with. It's great to have on your resume. If you have to work here, plan on 12 months tops before you are worked to death.

Cons

- The Cognizant acquisition has ruined the company. - People are treated as expendable. - Work hours range fro 12-18 a day, take it or leave it we will replace you with someone from India in a day. - Senior management is all but gone, Cognizant "leadership" is taking over and has very little experience building software. - Consulting attitude is applied to everything you do again, you can be replaced. - In another 6 - 9 months our senior leaders who built the company and know healthcare software will have moved on. - YOU ARE NOT VALUED, your boss may be amazing but he/she has no power to institute change and help you.

Pros

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Cons

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
