I knew working in the warehouse wasn't going to be the best job I ever had - Warehouse CoaLogix Employee Review

Pros

My co-workers were pretty fun and laid-back. Didn't really have an issue with the guys I saw every day. The work was boring but it was easy enough.

Cons

Like I said in the title, I knew going in that working in the warehouse wasn't going to be fun. It was hot in the summer and always dusty. The worst part though was no one seemed to know what was going on or really cared. I've worked a lot of jobs but the supervisors just pushed to crank out the modules and didn't care if we did a good job or not. I don't think it was really my supervisors fault because his boss was the one that kept pushing. I think this came from the top. I got tired pretty quickly of trying to offer suggestions on how to do things better. This was definitely a job you knew you'd leave as soon as you found something better and thank God I did. It was sad when they'd just fire someone and walk them out the door that minute but at the same time you knew that man would end up with something better and it was really a blessing to get canned for some guys.

Pros

The work was challenging and offered time to interact with many various clients.

Cons

However, the work / life balance was not there and often the expectations were beyond reasonable. There were times of short orders and turnover of investors. There did not seem to be investment in the employees.

Pros

This was a fast-paced, make-it-up-as-you-go, fun place to work for a while. Then I realized no one was really in charge or cared too much. Up until then, though, I got to work on a lot of different projects that made me a better engineer. Then I found another job and jumped. My co-workers were pretty good folks.

Cons

The gap in pay and stock options difference between staff and management seemed much bigger than places I had worked before. I also didn't understand how to advance or how decisions were made. Annual reviews seemed a bit of a joke and it really was demoralizing when we had worked hard but management announced no one was getting bonuses because the market for our products was shrinking.
