While it’s never easy to hear negative feedback, we take both the positive and negative reviews seriously and use them to evaluate where we’re getting it right and where there are opportunities to improve.
Specifically to your comments about incentivized Glassdoor reviews: We, of course, appreciate when employees share their positive experiences with the company, but all reviews listed on this site are 100% voluntary and are provided by willing, real, current and prior CoStar Group employees. No reviews listed were written in a false manner in an effort to inflate ratings. The Teslas you mention were given to our Hall of Fame sales force during this year’s Sales Conference and were a recognition of years’ worth of hard work, outstanding performance, and dedication to CoStar Group.
Additionally, a change in title is simply a reflection of evolving business priorities and refocusing job functions and duties. While data and research are the foundation of our business, marketing services have become increasingly important to our customers and the commercial real estate industry. For this reason, we elevated the titles of our researches to better reflect the core responsibilities of the position.
