Pros

I love kids and I love making kids happy, it's probably one of the best feelings in the world. Free drinks and sometimes free food, when the GM's not there. Downtime happens often and there are many opportunities to be lazy at this job, especially since everyone else that works there is.

Cons

It took me six months after I got my promotion to get my raise, and I was promised two more for learning cashier and birthday coordinator. I worked more hours than anyone besides managers and still barely had anything on my paychecks. I was required to do things that no one ever mentioned when I applied for the job. I passed out on multiple occasions at kid check because I'm anemic and they wouldn't let me keep a drink under the stand. The parents are insufferable and we are not allowed to stand up for ourselves ever. The management is lousy at best, everyone tries to get as much done with little care for the quality of the job, and always blames mistakes on those below them. Always understaffed, pay too low for what was asked of us, and way way way too stressful to be employing teens under 18.

Pros

-They give you free food up to $30 -The benefits are fairly decent -High mileage pay for traveling -Lots of diversity and inclusion

Cons

-The worst upper management you’ll ever work for. Constant micromanaging. Sets unrealistic expectations with zero support or assistance. All while they take long vacations. -Preach “company standard” but flip flop on every decision with no notice -Constant labor crunch. Expects miracles with ~3 people on shift. -Will have to work out of your area with no added pay -Training is hit or miss. If you don’t speak up immediately about something you weren’t taught, they will blame you. -If salaried, will probably have to work over 40hrs will no additional incentive -Customers above all else. They are rewarded for complaints and you will definitely be punished. -Heavy AI usage. Even in biased customer surveys that will count against you.
