Pros
We have spent a lot of time focusing on building a working environment that is designed to attract the best talent and retain it. I am a big fan of the book Peopleware, and I want our employees to feel valued and respected.
We make it very clear that there are expectations of an average of a 40 hour working week. If you work more than 40 hours on a busy and stressful week (which does sometimes happen), then we expect you to take time off on the following week to make it back to normal hours. We do this because we want people to enjoy their time at work, and have a healthy work/life balance.
We have an attractive office space, with 2-3 employees per office right now. We believe that having a quiet working environment is important for productivity, and whilst we don't require that you come into the office everyday for work, we do our best to make an office so beautiful that you choose to come in daily. We also make sure that our employees have the best equipment that you can reasonably get to work with, so everyone has electric height adjustable desks, freestanding monitor arms, wireless keyboard and mouse sets, and powerful laptops.
Finally, I think the work we are doing is both interesting and also has a very clear and direct value-add to the world, so that you know that what you are doing is making a change for the better.
Cons
No cons, but I am biased as a founder.
