Dear former medical provider,
Thank you for your feedback. Due to the rapid growth and unique demands our model requires and the smaller panels of about 400-450 patients, we do embrace standardization for best practices and we also increase our expectations for the level of care and service we provide to our patients compared to typical practice since the panel sizes are about 5x smaller.
Unfortunately, our outcome-based model is not for everyone. Medical school didn’t train us to see our patients as often as it take to keep them healthy and out of the hospital and some clinicians find it difficult to adjust. But we believe the more we see our patients the better we can get to know them. The better we get to know them the more they will trust us, confide in us, and allow us to coach them to better health. Seeing patients frequently also allows us to detect slight changes in their health and act before a minor issue becomes a big issue. It also allows us to simplify visits and focus on the key issues a patient faces.
The seniors who make up our patient panels are some of the most marginalized and forgotten members of our society. We choose to honor them with affordable, VIP Care that delivers better health. So, yes, we want to see them whenever they need us – and that includes walk-ins. We are also on a sharp growth trajectory and that requires standardized processes and structures that will help us successfully replicate our model as quickly as possible. There are entire communities waiting for a health care model like ours, and we want to reach them as quickly as possible.
