Awful place to work - Marketing Manager Centre for Alternative Technology Employee Review

The people at CAT are so committed, knowledgeable and well intentioned, they do their best to inspire a better world. The CAT site is a beautiful place to work. Students who visit are so delightful

The CEO, who has now left was terrible at managing people and the business and didn't understand the importance of staff morale. The Chair of Trustees thinks he owns the place. Minimum wage for the youngest members of staff working long shifts in the kitchen. Zero hours contracts HR made no effort to deal with bullying and harassment between staff members. Efforts to feed back and change the system were met with hostility.

Great place and great people. Everyone very passionate about what they are doing.

Location may be an issue for people but this is a big plus for many.
