Pros

-for me the culture felt like the perfect balance of professional but not stuffy -I always feel like there are opportunities for me to grow/get promoted if I worked hard and showed initiative, which wouldn't be possible at a bigger/more corporate company -everyone is really supportive and good at collaborating -progressive tone from the top and the company is not afraid to speak its mind when it comes to important political/social matters. -fun in-person events planned each year, even though some people were remote, it was so fun when they flew out all the remote workers for company get-togethers.

Cons

-With a small company, sometimes people wore multiple hats. Definitely have to be a certain personality to cope with multi-tasking. For me it was fine (and I think standard at small biz) but not a fit for everyone.

Pros

Loved, the work, loved all the people there, except for management/owner.

Cons

They don't even deserve a star. All of the creative work done at CCG (websites, emails, brochures, infographics) is done by contractors. Who the regularly don't pay. There were MONTHS that would go by, doing work every day for them, and they wouldn't pay. The owners would give the excuse of, "well, our clients aren't paying us, so we can't pay you." Which was a bold face lie, because at the same time they were sending multiple people to conferences and shows around the country. They also had a LARGE staff of full-time account managers and middle management that they seemed able to pay. They would fall behind, try to catch up, and then pay regularly for a month or so, then fall behind. It took threatening a law suit SEVERAL TIMES to get them to pay me. Even then, they had the audacity to not pay. And it wasn't just myself that they did this to. There were at any time, at least FOUR other designers that were contractors who they weren't paying.
