Pros
I will echo what the other reviews have said regarding getting experience with eating disorder clients.
Cons
Working at CEDC, I witnessed some of the most unprofessional behavior coming from the director. The director doesn't care about ethical, quality care for the clients, she truly only cares about her profits. There is very little, if any room, for career advancement. There are no continuing education opportunities. Prepare for emotional abuse, especially when you quit the job. During the pandemic, I was laid off with absolutely no notice or consideration but was brought back 2 weeks later to work virtually. During the virtual work, there was no communication until the week of about returning back to in person. In my time working here, someone in a high position of power sent pictures of his private parts IN HIS WORK OFFICE to another staff member "accidentally" and was never even reprimanded or acknowledged by the director. The director hired an expensive union buster rather than offer proper compensation and benefits to her staff. Essentially, prepared to be under-staffed, over-worked, and under-compensated.
