Pros
-Excellent Benefits. -Talented and high achieving colleagues: you are able to work with some of the best minds in their respective fields. The CEO is one of the most influential people in Sacramento. All three of the Senior VPs at CMA are people of color and incredibly talented. Sacramento Business Journal ranked the CFO as the CFO of the year. By joining the team, you have access to incredibly talent and high achieving people. -Culture: there is definitely a family culture at CMA. Plenty of after work events and opportunities to socialize. Really supportive of parents and the needs that go along with being one. -Growth: managers do prioritize growth and listen to staff and what they want to do long term.
Cons
-Poor performers: CMA has high performers, but there are definitely a bunch of low performers who are kept around longer than they should. -Workload: I think this ties to the point above. High performers seem to have a high workload and it definitely shows. -Lack of accountability among managers: I think your experience really differs at CMA depending on who your manager is. If your manager is good, you will likely have a great experience. Do your homework and talk to current and former employees before you accept a position.
