It is flexible and you can pick your own schedule. Alex is a nice person. It is easy work if you did well in high school.
Cons
You don’t get many clients so you don’t work that much. At most I would only make like $250 a month and you don’t start getting students until a month or two into the semester. Typically I would only make about $150 a month. The pay is about $25 an hour which seems good but when you consider the 10-15 minutes to drive there the pay ends up being only about $15 an hour. Plus you are paying for your own gas and it takes a toll on your car. I would say it’s not worth it because you tutor at like 6 and you pretty much are wasting your whole evening for an hour of work. I made way more money working a minimum wage job like 4-8 hours a week.
It can be difficult dealing with teenagers and their parents. Plans can change last minute and you often have to change your own plans to accommodate students.
You will end up with some tutoring clients quickly as long as you are willing to commute. The online logging system is good as well. The guy in charge (Alex) is also very nice and helpful.
Cons
You cannot work here if you don't have a car. Also we are not paid gas for how far we have to travel.
