Pros
I was an analyst on the investment team. There are many smart people there who worked hard who want to improve investment performance. Most of the new analysts are leaving or are looking for new jobs.
Cons
For years the company has had negative investment performance and sales outflows. The CIO just left who was hired to turn around performance and was replaced by four portfolio managers who are called Co-CIOs which is a joke. Most of the senior analysts and the chief risk officer brought in by the CIO have left or are looking for jobs. The company is going back to the old model of using the CEO's top down macro outlook and their basic quantitative tools and which doesn't need analyst inputs. There is no investment culture and many analysts spend their time looking for jobs rather than analyzing companies.
