Pros

There are many Pros at CSC...but you need to find the right fit to have this company work with you. If you are fortunate to have a good Leader you will learn much. You will be given opportunities to learn, (for those starting out), provide ideas (for more seasoned employees). You will come away with Pride in what you are giving to your job. - much of this depends on your Team, Leader and Senior Executives in your department. I have and continue to recommend this company to young people starting out because of the learning opportunities.

Cons

Unfortunately, the Cons can sometimes out number the Pros. If you are looking to be paid what you are worth.... look somewhere else. You would be amazed how many employees hold a 2nd job to make ends meet. The reviewer I mentioned in Title above is 100% correct regarding performance reviews. You can only rank your employees 1, 2, 3, etc. You are not allowed to state 2 employees had an exceptional year. Then I have seen the numbers get adjusted in the software because what the employee should receive as a raise, is adjusted down because "it's too much of a jump". The reason is because the starting point is ridiculously low. Now I have seen this with my own eyes so that when the HR Rep comes back with a "canned" response, do not believe it. I have brought this to HR attention numerous time and said they cannot control what the head of the department does. CSC is the epitome of the "At-will" employment environment.

Pros

Great benefits. Hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 at home) is nice for people who want to switch up the days they go into the office / work from home.

Cons

Terrible work-life balance! Overtime is optional, but managers try to guilt-trip you into working OT. The raise they offered was laughable, and I wasn't the only one who was insulted by it. Management is incredibly petty. I also sat through many conversations, started by a leader, surrounding politics and religion. If you're in the annual reports department, it is incredibly difficult to get out. I saw many people try to get into other departments only to be blocked each time. If you're in a satellite office, they will forget about you! They only care about the DE offices.
