They pay for travel and accommodations. A bit of a bonus that is okay while working underground.
Cons
Hourly wage before bonus is low. Pay dates are not great being only the 15th and 30th of each month. (Some pays are a lot bigger than others. Sometimes you may find yourself being paid $300-$400 on a pay check and then the following pay is $4,000-$4,500) hard to establish a proper payment plan for family bills and regular living expenses.
