Pros
The people that work there, not considering the president or the ceo, have great potential but aren't allowed to exercise their potential.
Cons
When you are being hired as a researcher, you would think your input would matter and you would think that the funds attributed to a project would be ethically employed. Instead, this is the playground of a narcissist man, with no management skills. During my time there, I saw a project of two years being made in two months, and not because of the collaborators efforts or lack of work, but because the president and co-ceo are awful at managing work, they don't care about work quality or input into society, as long as in the end it is done. I once saw the president say "o que importa é estar feito, não bem feito". The only reason they get funds, even tho other research centers dispise working with them, it's because it is a research center in the interior region of Portugal, and of course, because of politics. What a great disappointment it was to work there, could have a great potential to actually employ changes in society. But the wheel will continue to roll as it always have been, until the day someone decides to stop João Nunes.
