Pros
It’s a mystery, but this company manages to attract top-notch staff (who also quickly leave). Its mission is to help NYC businesses and on that aspect, they deliver outstanding work
Cons
Non-profits are not known for large budgets but usually provide great benefits. Working for this company, you will not get a raise, bonus, or promotion, even to account for inflation or the increase in the cost of living. However, management does get raises and bonuses. The benefits they offer are minimal, and the longer you work there, the more of them you will likely lose. Management clearly lacks leadership skills therefore, you will not receive compliments or praise for your achievements or any acknowledgment of your hard work. This is not a surprise because if they did, they would have to give you a raise and there is no chance of that happening. Unless you are the “lapdog” type or don’t mind getting close, very, very, very close to some managers. An example of the pettiness that takes place there, at the farewell lunch for departing employees, the head of the company will expense her meal, but make you pay for yours.
It is no surprise, the company has a high turn-over.
