Pros

Great opportunity for entry into STEM with internships at global tech companies. When there was a question or issue, which was rare, the staff was helpful.

Cons

They could pay the interns more. There was a lot of role turn over, some people switched roles other left, at BEC during my internship. I felt like there was not much proactive support for me. Likely due to the turn over, although I had job experience in other industries so maybe I didn't need much.

Pros

The company got me placed at Intel, great way to get your resume building with little or no experience

Cons

As an intern you won't work with BEC at all, your experience may be reliant on a supervisor at a different company all together

Pros

I have worked as an Intern at Intel for more than a year through the BEC and it has been a great learning experience. It is easier to get your foot in the door if you apply through the BEC vs applying to Intel directly because competition is tough and not a lot of people know about the BEC.

Cons

Low Pay and No benefits. If your internship is at Intel, you are a classified as a contingent worker or "green badge." After your assignment is up, you must wait 6 months before you can apply for other green badge positions unless you apply through Intel directly.
