Pros
Room for advancement but basically because they have such an extremely high turnover rate that they’ll take anybody that’s put up with them and throw them into management with little training.
Cons
They cut hours all the time. They basically expect you and maybe another associate to clean the whole store. I barely even had time to go to the restroom. These are big stores and get very messy so it’s a lot of work for little money. Lots of back and feet pain. Not for the weak of heart. Burlington is a very disloyal company. It amazed me how terrible they treated workers that have been with the company for many years after we got back from Covid. Benefits are not worth it. I struggled so much to get PTO and sick time. You get so tired you can’t even enjoy your days off so no work life balance. One of my managers would call me all the time on my days off. Burlington is greedy and keeps extending hours to later and later times when it becomes unsafe (sometimes we leave at 2 in the morning because we close at 1 am). Basically don’t work here please. I didn’t realize it was so bad until I left to work for a company that actually cares and is decent.
