Pros
Money is pretty darn good. Benefits are also very good, probably better than anywhere else I have heard of. Work/life balance is fairly good though because nobody cares enough to want to work overtime.
Cons
It's honestly just depressing to work here. There has been a fairly large exodus of people in certain departments due to the decline in work culture and bad/incompetent management over the past few years. I was very excited to get a job here but behind all the employment awards that they flaunt, it's really just a poorly managed company as a whole. HR/Upper management does not seem to care about the desires of the employees. Eg Being forced to come back into the office full time. The union negotiations were very poorly handled on both sides and we are likely coming up on a tough couple of years. The morale throughout the company is noticeably lowering over the past couple of years. They hired a Director of Culture, but that has not seemed to help. If all you want is money and can deal with mounting frustrations then it can be ok to work here but there is zero chance for advancement or movement within the company.
