Depending on supervisor, flexible with scheduling; good work/family balance Pay decent, benefits very good Pretty stable; city financially more secure than many Nice downtown and world-class shopping for lunch
Cons
Cliques! If you are in the "in crowd" you are golden and get everything handed to you; if not, sucks to be you. Give up on any chance at promotion. It's not what you know, it is WHO you know... promotions given to totally unqualified people by totally unqualified people who were handed things by those before them... Not professionalized at all; stuck in 1980 as a City (and kinda likes it that way) Zero accountability and nobody asks.
