Bubble (UK) Response
3yWe’re genuinely sorry you had a bad experience at Bubble. We take feedback extremely seriously. We never ignore it, and we do absolutely try our best to ensure we meet it with an open mind, humility and a desire to constantly better ourselves.
At the same time - we owe it to ourselves and our lovely, hard-working team to refute what you’ve written in your review.
Bubble has always benefited from having a hugely diverse group of employees. It’s something we actively strive for.
We’re proud and lucky to employ a team of people from a wide range of backgrounds, religions, ethnicity, colour and race. This is true across all levels of the business including senior management, and including people who have enjoyed promotions due to their outstanding work.
We’re by no means perfect, have no doubt made mistakes and there are things we do as a business that can without question be improved.
However, race has never - and will never - play any part in any decision we’ve made with regards to hiring, promotions or when it comes to having to let people go.
People are promoted on merit, and those who aren’t promoted were up against others better qualified for the job at hand. Internal promotion is something we champion and are always proud to award. We’ve been lucky to have several supremely talented and hard-working people here, and we are always looking to promote from within. We value the people we have who are committed to doing great work - it’s our job to proactively reward them and recognise their efforts
We also don’t recognise what you’ve written about not being able to care for sick loved ones. This could not be further from the truth. We have countless examples where team members have needed and been granted time off and extra flexibility for health reasons or other personal situations. We have private medical insurance, enhanced parental leave and enhanced compassionate leave precisely because the health and happiness of our people and their extended family is so important to us. We always go above and beyond and there are countless people at Bubble who would testify to this.
We don’t expect a pat on the back for any of this - it’s our duty. But we must reject any claims of the opposite.
Clearly, you’ve had a really bad time of it during your short time with us.
Genuinely, we’re sorry about that and of course we accept that there are things we could do better.
You weren’t with us for very long, and also joined during a time of some general change. Your onboarding was something we did invest in, but accept if you feel it was not adequate for you.
More so, having quickly realised that perhaps Bubble wasn’t the best place for you we offered you the opportunity to work together to get back on track. We also offered you multiple opportunities to discuss any issues with us in a constructive way, though this wasn’t something you wished to do, which is your prerogative of course.
We take all feedback really seriously, it’s not just lip service and we have a track record of introducing several new measures specifically in response to feedback we get from our team. And we’ll keep on doing that because we are a group of genuinely caring people who want people who work here to love doing so.
So whilst we strongly disagree with the views you’ve expressed, we will still be reflecting on them intently, and our offer to discuss any of it with you in a constructive, kind manner will always remain open.
All the best,
Ari
