Pros
- There are some wonderful and talented people who work at Brighton. - They are a dog friendly office. - Conveniently located.
Cons
If you read the negative reviews and think, "how bad can it be?" just know that it is worse. Within a year, at least 15 people have quit, and Brighton will continue to fire people they just don't like, regardless of workload. For a company of 30-40 people, this is an insane turnover rate. As of the time of post, there are things that are flat out lies on their website, or that are misleading. There is no monthly happy hour, let alone chef/bartender attended. The only happy hours occur when someone finally escapes and their new job is celebrated. Even the references to the chili cookoff are misleading, with a whopping 3 participants...The "open concept" also has helped left the smell of literal sewage, as well as smoke and burnt food smell (from the cafe next door) waft through the office. There were a string of negative reviews and an email from management was sent out asking for positive reviews -- which is why there is a sudden influx of high star reviews. You will not be allowed to WFH without being shamed, meaning that illness runs rampant in the office (there is not nearly enough PTO to cover restorative time, illness, and whatever life may throw at you). There are many more negatives to working at Brighton than those above; if you chose to work here, your mental and physical health will take a toll. Unless you are fully unemployed and out of options, do not take a job here, and do not trust what management says in the interview process.
