Pros
A very defined path to promotion (although its longer than they advertise typically), supportive AE/sales development managers that truly want you to succeed, and incredible people. All stars to the recruiting team for hiring such amazing people
Cons
PTO? Never heard of it. This company expects you to work absurdly long hours with with little to new reward. Do you love going 1 vacation a year and feeling guilty about it? If so, this is the perfect fit for you. The fact that they require their employees to take PTO for not working Christmas eve is one of the MANY cultural issues. Hit or exceed quota? You will pretty much go unrecognized unless you are one of the top 2-3 performers. want a life out of work? forget about it. BE's solution to everything is working more, working from home, working on weekends, working WHILE sick. Managers are always encouraging teams to work MORE, -outside of already working 7:30am(sometimes earlier!) to 5pm, to meet the ambitious and insane goals set by upper management. While I understand sales is a LOT of work, this place has taken it to a new extreme, creating a churn and burn environment that makes fantastic sales people not only want to leave BE but leave sales altogether. Also for some odd reason, BrightEdge thinks they are the only company that promotes SDRs to AEs within a year. They also think they are the only sales organization that pays decent money. The amount of brain washing they do to their employees and the candidates that come interview is a clear indication of them desperately trying to fix the high turnover rate. But to them, a high turnover is “just the nature of sales”.... I can’t tell if they are oblivious to how unhappy most people are or if they just truly don’t care
