Pros

Nice office in central London

Cons

Truly awful culture Entire departments are micromanaged by senior staff with little to no management skills People who are in favour are promoted with little thought given to process There's little respect for expertise: everything is rewritten by senior managers and entire plans are changed on their whims Senior staff are driven by ego and are jostling for position, they aren't driven by what's right for the charity Most junior staff are unhappy No strategic vision for where the charity should go Conflict between departments - no cohesion across the charity whatsoever

Thanks for your review. I am sorry to read that you felt like this during your time working at Breast Cancer Now. Our 2023 staff survey suggested this is not the experience of the majority of staff with 91% enjoying the work they do and 95% enjoying working with their colleagues. 88% felt trusted to do their job and make decisions and 96% understand what we want to achieve as an organisation. I would be happy to listen if you would be prepared to share your experiences as to what went wrong for you in terms of support in raising the issues you mention. Associate Director People & OD
