Pros
- Salary is SLIGHTLY higher than other SSAs (don't let this be a determining factor, see cons). - During my time, there were extremely supportive and nurturing colleagues.
Cons
- Upper management are at war. There is an obvious power struggle between the heads. If you're unlucky, you'll be the scapegoat. - As a charity organisation that preaches happier and healthier living, it does not do much to support staff struggling with their mental health conditions. In fact, you may even be targeted and marked down for it during your appraisals. - If you're looking for a place to hone your case management skills, this place is not it. There is a severe lack of guidance and management hardly knows what goes on at ground level. - Be prepared to have things added to your job scope without any/much notice. - The organisation fails to uphold what it aims to teach in terms of its values & mission. - In addition, the CEO engaged in discriminatory behavior during a staff meeting by making derogatory comments about individuals based on their weight. - Any salary increments are random and entirely dependent on whether you are on CEO's "good" radar. - CEO's attempt at trying to "retain staff" was to split the bonus into two. (if I could add an emoji it would be the head blowing up emoji) - High turnover rate.
