Pros

In my more then 20 years working for different Companies, I found Botany without question to be the best place to work at. I feel my work and views are always valued and I have always considered myself to be a key part of the team. I was always supported in my work by customer service and production. Higher management always listed to my concerns and supported me when I had a personal or family problem and gave me the necessary space and time to resolve personal matters. I was always given lots of opportunities to take on more responsibility and allowed to take my career to further heights. The Company has continued to grow every year, it is a leader in it’s market which gives lots of opportunities for it’s staff to grow. Management allows all to come and give their own input. I always felt really valued as an employee and many of the staff have worked at Botany for a long time ie 10, 20, 30, 40 years and that for me is always a good sign of a great Company to work for.

Cons

Location, its best if you can use Luas or Dublin bus.

Pros

It is close to the Luas

Cons

This company had one of the worst work environments I ever experienced. Upper management was completely unprofessional and shouted at team members in front of others, creating a culture of fear and humiliation. There was no proper HR department, so any concerns or complaints from employees were ignored or brushed aside. Employees were treated unequally, with obvious favouritism and no clear reasoning behind decisions regarding promotions, responsibilities, or opportunities. The physical workspace was just as bad. The kitchen was dirty, cramped, and completely inadequate for the number of employees using it. The rest of the office wasn’t much better—it was dusty, cluttered, and poorly maintained, making it an uncomfortable and unhealthy environment to work in. Disrespect was rampant, and leadership made no effort to foster a healthy or supportive work culture. Salaries were far below industry standards, with no benefits offered to make up for it. There was no work-life balance, and any attempt to advocate for yourself was seen as a threat. The overall environment was toxic, unfair, and unsustainable. If you’re considering working here, don’t. Unless major changes are made to management, pay structure, and workplace culture, this company will continue to drive good employees away.

Pros

Location, Luas, bus stops, Lidl and Centra nearby.

Cons

Senior management operates at an amateur level, contributing to a blame-oriented culture that is ultimately unsustainable. Stress-related leave is frequent. Additionally, the passing of two long-serving staff members was not acknowledged in any way, which came across as deeply disrespectful.
