Pros
- Great culture for food lovers and people who care about cooking - Friendly work environment - Staff discounts - Free cook school sessions - Free counselling through an app
Cons
- Extremely, laughably inflexible work-from-home policy. - Statutory minimum holiday (28 days inc. bank holidays, and no holiday granted during peak) - Difficult and complicated procedure to book holiday - Annual sick days written into contract (4) and thereafter they don't pay you. Not good for any kind of chronic illness/disability. - Very few benefits during probation - Gossipy atmosphere - Hidden, weird social rules of conduct and complex communication structures - Snooty, holier-than-thou taste culture led by the higher ups - No feeling of trust in staff from CEOs - Often have to tiptoe around the CEOs to avoid upsetting them. Much time was spent working out how to pitch news/information to them - Many, many instances of double standards evident between higher ups and everyone else - High staff turnover hidden by a few longstanding employees who have more benefits
