Pros
Bold Penguin has done a great job putting their people first and making sure they are in the right role to not only help the company succeed but also so they can advance their career within the organization...no shortage of opportunity for growth. The teams within the organization have been thoughtfully assembled based upon complimentary skillsets and this is something I applaud the leadership team for. Team chemistry is something that is really hard to get right and while not perfect Bold Penguin does it better than others than other companies I have been a part of. Beyond that there is a true sense of family here and Bold Penguin goes out of it's way to make sure employees know one another on a personal level and understand what everyone is working on. In prior companies I have been a part of projects are closed off to people from different parts of the organization, but at Bold Penguin ideas are constantly solicited from across the organization and if you are willing to raise your hand and offer an idea your voice will be heard and you can contribute in a meaningful way to the growth of the company.
Cons
It's hard to write a con because I genuinely enjoy being a part of this company and the people I work with. With that said the company is growing quickly and expectations for performance are high and the goals we are trying to hit are even higher. Sometimes the exact direction isn't clearly defined and you are left to make your own path...for those who those who do not thrive in this type of environment they might see this as a draw back but to me this is part of the fun.
