Pros

Coworkers and middle management are EXTREMELY nice and personable. Middle managers go above and beyond and also double as departmental HR as many do anything possible to avoid speaking with actual HR.

Cons

CEO and HR are extremely toxic and inappropriate. The CEO constantly discusses politics and belittles those who do not agree with her point of view. CEO makes comments which are highly inappropriate including comments that are offensive toward Jewish, Black, and Asian employees. Turnover is extremely high, especially in the positions working under the HR manager. HR is also the manager of the Accounting department for the company which makes it extremely difficult because often times you have to rethink if you want to go speak with her regarding your check and/or matters which occur in office which a well trained HR would be responsible for. Both have no sense of humanity and berate employees openly. The CEO always openly talks to coworkers about other coworkers, even when the person being spoken of is not around - often in a highly offensive manor. There is no structure to this company. There has never been a meeting from the time I began working there to the time I left. The CEO just tells the programmer and the programmer (who does not speak good English) relays the message. Of course unless she decides to just yell it and you have to hope that you heard correct. The CEO makes instant decisions and then "forgets" what she decided and then it becomes the fault of those under her when they implement her direction. When you put in your 2 weeks notice, you are fired, this has happened many times. The CEO brings her dog to the office and employees are constantly having to clean her waste and throw-up all over the office. The office also smells. There is no professional office cleaning on a consistent basis. CEO/Owner also thinks if she cannot understand something, there is no way that any one else can. Constantly makes people feel inept. She is under the impression that just because your bookmarks are not set up under your toolbar, that you do not have any bookmarked pages. That is how low her computer literacy is. Once you begin working, there is no formal introduction to fellow employees, and your work space is not even set up. Literally no computer screens and no way to enter the office or even clock in/out - very unprofessional. No formal training is provided either. Rather than each key individual having their own company email address, departments share one extremely general email inbox which are also associated with the many marketplaces which the company has, which makes basic communication very difficult and time consuming. HR does not meet any of the requirements of a true Human Resource manager. HR does not like to be approached and is very demeaning and degrading towards employees. CEO is constantly yelling, not in regards to business, but referring to individual employees. She has openly spoke on peoples personal matters open and loudly including but not limited to immigration status, health, family issues. The CEOs office, as well as HR are both glass with no curtains. Conversations held in both can be heard by all employees in the front. CEO has been claiming the company is moving to New Jersey and posts employment ads with a New Jersey address but no official date has been released to staff and the new complex is no where near ready to be inhabited by a business. She has been changing moving dates since early 2017. An official notice of company relocation was never even sent to employees, we would just hear what we can through her glass office. Also, she was very picky with who got to to see the new office space and who did not. The move would be a massive transit time increase for many as MOST employees live in Brooklyn, the Bronx and Queens. CEO is very big on favoritism. There are a few particular individuals in the office who receive EXTREMELY special treatment. If you are lucky to be in that group (HR, Programmer, Lead Buyer and seasoned Photographers/Graphic Design), then if you make a mistake, it's a calm talk and "let's resolve this" privately. Last but not least, to make the work experience even worse, the chairs are SO uncomfortable. Nobody has a well functioning chair. They either feel like cardboard or the ones with cushion have no arm rests.

Pros

Short term job in the area. Always hiring

Cons

People are always getting fired or replaced. Low job satisfaction. Pay is low for the work load. Culture sucks too. Everyone is just out for themselves. Bc they don't know if they'll be the next one to lose their job. Work environment mainly consists of community college level educated kids with very limited work experience or useful skillsets, immigrant manual labor class workers or immigrant / outsourced management. (You will go home smelling of indian cooking every night. The smell is just everywhere) Long term employees will not help you. Very petty, stressful, dishonest work environment with no real career direction or path. If you are skilled or experienced in any way, stay away from here. When the owner is around she is always dissatisfied and out to blame someone. Its a waste of your time to be here and the place is full of bad energy. This place is for lazy, snake-like dummies. Online silver jewelry is a dying business and cant compete with chinese companies who are making and selling the same items sold to Bling, on the same platform but for much less.
