- Excellent range of experience when training in Audit. - Given responsibility to undertake tasks that some firms give to managers.
Cons
The leadership of the organisation is woefully lacking and they do not have their core values right. For example, when a trainee finishes their three year ACA qualification they have to repay their fees if they leave within 2 years. This is an incredibly long period and whatsmore, the firm are very keen on taking legal action and have done so to a number of trainees. What sort of employer thanks someone for three good years of service by giving them a £15,000 bill? Personally, I would feel inhuman to do that to a 24 year old and I think it is borderline intimidation. Other cons: - Lack of quality guidance and supervision from managers. - A very rigid heirarchy. - A lack of care/interest from many of the partners.
