Pros

Nice furnishings and expensive artwork adorn the walls. Worker Bees are dedicated and work extremely hard and care about the job they are doing.

Cons

Senior Management is terrible. Please beware! They are allowed to yell and be disrespectful to subordinates without consequences. They care only about the bottom line and their bonuses. Conflict of interest with selected board members occur where the organization routinely hire board members and their companies to conduct business which is a serious breach of the agency's by-laws. When this is pointed, out they admit it but ignore the rules. If you voice any concerns, you are then targeted. The Human Resource Department serves as the enforcer for Senior Management and always sides with them no matter what the facts may be. During my tenure, I witness misappropriation of funds and other activities reportable to the Department of Justice and the IRS.. The organization uses the IRS nonprofit as a cover for for-profit activities. They lie and mislead FDA officials intentionally to avoid detection of serious problems that have serious consequences to public safety. If you value integrity and excellence, this place is not the place to work. I Ignored comments when I reviewed prior Glassdoor reviews on this company and unfortunately accepted the position. I experienced and saw first-hand the corruption and ill-mannered behavior of Senior Management. This organization is cut-throat and cares nothing about its employees. My supervisor was a COO and I witness her attempts in unseating the current CEO. Work there at your own risk!

Pros

I've worked with them for a little over a year and my contract was extended. They are a great team and very communicative.

Cons

Honestly haven't had any issues. Highly recommend.

Pros

The mission is compelling on paper, and many of the individual contributors genuinely care about the work and the people it’s supposed to serve.

Cons

There is a significant disconnect between stated values and lived reality. While the organization positions itself as people-first, internal practices often suggest otherwise. Concerns about workload, burnout, and psychological safety are acknowledged verbally but rarely addressed meaningfully. Leadership decisions feel inconsistent and opaque. Patterns emerge where the same individuals are repeatedly rewarded while others are quietly pushed out, often under the guise of “performance” without adequate training, support, or feedback. This creates an environment where employees learn quickly that survival depends more on proximity to leadership than on competence or integrity. HR functions more as a risk-management arm of leadership than as a neutral resource for employees. Raising concerns can result in isolation, deflection, or subtle retaliation, which discourages honest communication and erodes trust. Despite the nonprofit / mission-driven framing, the internal culture often mirrors the worst aspects of corporate environments: silence over accountability, optics over repair, and high emotional labor with little protection for the people doing it.
