Mislead and unprofesional - Office Assistant Bigham Cable Construction Employee Review

I accepted a position at your company with high hopes, based on promises of a supportive, family-like atmosphere and a workplace that values professionalism and integrity. Unfortunately, my experience at the Kingsport location was the exact opposite. I put my trust in this company and committed myself to the role, only to be judged based on hearsay rather than my actions. I was called “unprofessional,” while some office staff openly discussed using substances like cocaine, organizing "roadie soadies," and buying alcohol for the night crew to get through shifts. It was even implied that team members were being asked if they had anything “in their trucks.” If that’s considered acceptable behavior, then I’m struggling to understand the standards being applied — because clearly, I was held to a very different one. I gave my best, proved myself time and time again, and still was dismissed without a real opportunity to be seen or heard. That’s not leadership. That’s not accountability. And it’s certainly not the “family environment” I was promised during the hiring process. I strongly urge corporate to take a closer look at what’s really happening at the Kingsport location. It’s not just disappointing — it’s damaging to the integrity of your entire organization.
