I must respectfully disagree. This is not a "boys club" at all. A good percentage of our team is ladies (nearly 50%), and they do a great job. We have them in some of the most detail-oriented roles because they frequently manage details better than men. However, we look for quality work in either gender, and so there is no rule of thumb in any role. We even have a lady tractor mechanic!
As with a few of our payroll administrators, you saw what everybody made, and that made you bitter because you couldn't handle the fact that some people made more than you. Were you capable of managing more responsibility, you would have been given it, and increased compensation. Your lack of experience in accounting held you back from advancing in that department.
We have a fantastic team of over 30 people that are not sales staff, and they make the team. The sales staff couldn't maintain their volume without the other 6 departments to support them.
Wish you the best in your endeavors.
